8th Annual Rock’n Blues Motorcycle & Car Show
One of Western New York’s premier parties, this event is all about music, good people and having a blast. You’d have to be pretty bad off not to have a great time with all the things to see and do on this day. From a car show with some of the areas nicest Hot Rods, Classics and Muscle Cars, to the Choppers, Customs and Baggers, everywhere you turn chrome rules the day. Everything will be there from the bone stocks to the radicals. With a mini-swap meet going as well there will be a slew of vendors, from leather and T-shirts to parts and novelties available. You can’t go wrong with tasty food, drinks and all of the great people gathered together for a full day and night of partying and good times. Sunday August 10, 2014 - "Chuck Boehler Memorial Dice Run and Motorcycle Show" The Chautauqua Sports Hall of Fame is presenting The Chuck Boehler Memorial Dice Run and Motorcycle Show at the Lakewood Rod & Gun Club. The event is being held to honor the late Chuck Boehler, a 1989 inductee of the Chautauqua Sports Hall of Fame. Boehler was a well-known figure in the sport of motorcycle racing, both nationally and internationally. The dice run will begin and end at the Lakewood Rod & Gun Club and will include stops at scenic areas throughout Chautauqua County. Registration fees are only $10 and cash prizes will be awarded. Following the dice run, riders are encouraged to display their bikes at the Rod & Gun Club along the shore of Chautauqua Lake in a non-competitive motorcycle show. Participants are invited to enjoy the bar and other facilities of the club. A chicken BBQ and music will be available. Raffles will also be held. Harley-Davidson of Jamestown, Hector's Powersports and Reid's Powersports will have vendor booths displaying their latest products and services. The highlight of the afternoon will be the unveiling of the Boehler Bike. Dr. Charles Sinatra, a national-caliber restorer of vintage cars and motorcycles, discovered the last motocross bike Boehler raced competitively, a 1973 Greeves. Doc and his crew have painstakingly restored the machine and will reveal their craftsmanship in a tribute to Boehler. All proceeds from the Chuck Boehler Memorial Dice Run and Motorcycle Show will benefit the Chautauqua Sports Hall of Fame, a 501(C)(3) not-for-profit, organized in 1981 to honor and preserve the sports legacy of Chautauqua County. First Annual Habitat For Humanity Motorcycle Run
An 80 mile run which will start and end at the Armor Inn with 3 stops. Registration will be at 8:45 and start time will be at 10:45. We have built 255 homes in Buffalo for less fortunate people in Buffalo and H4H has built 800,000 throughout the world. The Buffalo affiliate will be building 5 homes for 5 Veteran families. Our first in is 30% completed as of this date. H4H has had 2 fundraisers and our first bike run will be our third with all proceeds will be used to build our first Veterans home. 6th Annual Jonathon Cote Memorial Ride & Fundraiser
Jonathon Cote was a U.S. Army Veteran from Western New York who was taken hostage, along with four others, while working as a private security contractor in Iraq on November 16th, 2006. He was held captive/missing for 523 days before his body was found and flown home to us in Buffalo, NY on April 28th, 2008. We, the family and friends of Jon, have organized a motorcycle ride and fundraising event in his honor! We have created this event to raise money for an annual scholarship for a selected student of Williamsville North High School in Jon's memory. More info at Cyberspokes.com. Any of the money raised that is left over will be donated to WNY Heroes, Inc. in order to help them serve and support our WNY military heroes and their families. Sign in for the memorial ride will begin at 11:00am in front of Williamsville North High School at the horseshoe entrance on Dodge Road, near Jon's memorial tree and plaque on Sunday, August 17th, 2014. Sign in will end at 12:30pm and will be followed by an informational rider meeting and prayer. The cost is $20 per driver and $10 per passenger. Each person will receive a lapel pin & sticker for participating, a free meal, and a pamphlet with information about Jon, the event, and the ride route. We plan to leave the high school starting at 1:00pm on a scenic route that will take us about 1.5 hours and will end at the La Casa Cardenas Restaurant (1437 Ridge Road, Lewiston, NY 14092). All makes and models of motorcycles are welcome! If you do not have a motorcycle or cannot participate in the ride, you are more than welcome to join us at the La Casa Cardenas Restaurant at 2:30pm when all the motorcycles should arrive from the ride. There will be a live band, food, and beverages as well as silent auctions, and a 50/50 raffle. This event keeps getting bigger and bigger every year with over 150 motorcycles participating! SSG William R. "Billy" Wilson III was a true American Hero. Billy was Killed In Action in Afghanistan on March 26, 2012. 6th Annual Ride for the Red Motorcycle Run
Held Labor Day weekend to raise funds for the American Red Cross’ Western New York Region Services to Armed Forces (SAF) program and disaster responses. The event is supported by Corning H.O.G. (Harley Owners Group) Chapter 3390.
The weekend kicks off on Friday, August 29th, with a short ride from Corning Harley-Davidson at 300 Town Center Road in Painted Post, NY, followed by food and beverages at the dealership. The Ride for the Red main event will be held on Saturday August 30th, also from the dealership. It will be led by NYS motorcycle Troopers through the beautiful Finger Lakes Region.

TJ Joy was a special boy with special needs. He was born with PMG (PolyMicroGyria: a brain malformation which causes epilepsy, and many other developmental and physical ailments) On November 7th, 2010 he passed away in his sleep due to a seizure. Drs. called it SUDEP (Sudden Unexplained Death of an Epileptic Person). TJ's parents later found out his life could have been spared by a seizure detection mat. Since then, it has become their mission to supply children in need with such mats. To date, many children have received such mats and their parents can sleep soundly knowing if their child seizes while sleeping, they will be notified. Riders Meet at 11 am at Ship of Fools Bar & Grill 495 River Road, N. Tonawanda. Celebrate the memory of Dick Soos who enjoyed riding his harleys all his life till he left this world at the age of 75. Motorcycle Run Starts at 12:00 noon and follows most of the route toward Ollcott that Dick Soos enjoyed taking during his last few years of riding. More info at

Yocum Benefit
On July 21 2014 Matt and Barbara Yocum were involved in a head on motorcycle accident. Barbara was ejected from the bike and went over the side of bridge and landed face down in Cattaraugus Creek. She is doing ok and got very lucky that the kid that hit them ran down to water and was able to pull her out. Pretty much saving her life. She has few Fractured ribs and Fracture on her spine. Matt is in rehab right now he has a broken femur bone and had to have emergency surgery, he also has multiple fractures on his pelvis. For the both of them this has been a life changing turn of events both will be out of work for long period of time. More details at Cyberspokes.com.
